Voicetyping requirements
These are the advantages of voice-typing with Bohemicus:
1) No headset. Simply place your Android phone next to your keyboard and start voice typing.
2) Control the voicetyping/listening process completely from my PC keyboard. Initiate the voice typing from your PC keyboard, no neeto to touch the phone’s screen.
3) Seamless integration and work. Simply place your cursor into MS Word (or any other text editing application), press a keyboard shortcut on my PC keyboard, and start dictating. The converted text will appear in MS Word without any further interaction.
How it works
The voicetyping process in Bohemicus is based on the interaction between the Google speechrecognizer in my Android phone and Bohemicus running in my PC. The mobile phone and PC are connected through Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

Connecting through Wi-Fi
Go to “Language & Settings“, and then “Voice“. Select the “WiFi, Android IP” option:

Then click the “Scan” button to find your mobile phone:

Your computer will search through the Wi-Fi vicinity, and hopefully find your Android phone. This is indicated by its IP address appearing in the box:

Also, Bohemicus will indicate this by the “WiFi connected” message in your Android:

In case Bohemicus would not find your Android phone automatically, insert the IP address shown on your Android screen into the “WiFi, Android IP” box in your PC, and click “Connect“:

Your phone should quitely beep and show the “WiFi Connected” message.
Voicetyping
You are now all set to start dictating (voicetyping) your texts.
1) Open your text editing application (e.g. MS Word) and click your mouse to place your cursor into it:

2. Press your voicetyping activation key on your PC keyboard. This is by default the “tilde” key that is located just below the ESC key. But it might be located somewhere else on your national PC keyboard. However, you can change this key to any key (combination) you prefer on the “Hotkeys” tab in Bohemicus:

For the sake of argument, let’s change this to “Ctrl+J”:

3. As soon as you press your voicetyping activation key (the “tilde”, or Ctrl+J that we just set up in the text above), a small box will appear at the bottom of the screen. This is indicates that Bohemicus is converting your speech to text. You do not have to pay any special attention to it. As soon as you are finished speaking, you can press your activation key again (tilde or Ctrl+J in this case). This will tell Bohemicus in your Android phone to immediately convert your speech into text. Alternatively, you can simply stop speaking. After some 1 second, Bohemicus will assume you are done speaking, and it should convert your speech into text:

4. Your speech will be converted to text, and then immediately inserted into your target application, i.e. MS Word in this case.
5. The little box in the bottom should disappear as soon as you finish your speech. In case it does not, you can simply click into it to make it disappear.
Selecting language
Bohemicus will work with some 100+ languages. Your default language will be the one your Android is set up to. So, if you are Spanish, and have your phone normally set to Spanish environment, Bohemicus will assume you will dictate your texts in Spanish.
In case you wish to change the language in which you dictate your texts, select the respective language from the drop-down menu and click “Set“:

Click “Yes” in the dialog that appears:

In this case, we selected Italian. So you can now start dictating in Italian.
This method works well for languages that use the Roman characters, as is the case for most European languages.
In case you wish to dictate in a language that uses non-Roman characters (such as Japanese, Arabic, etc.), change the language directly in your Android phone:
1) Go to Settings / General management / Language and input / Language and tap “Add language”:

2) Select your desired language from the list:

3) Tap to activate your language from the list of selected languages:

4) You are now ready to start dictating in your selected language. You do not need to select the language in your Bohemicus for PC, it is enough to have it selected in your Android.
